obsessed with: starbucks you are here mugs.

seriously. these mugs are so cute. i first saw a post about them on the starbucks blog, and i've been pretty much obsessed ever since. as soon as i saw them, i went on a mission to find the ones near me [above]. it wasn't too long before i got my sister, brother-in-law, and a few friends hooked, too. :]

seattle was my first acquisition from a trade with a stranger. initially, i thought i might go the trading route to get some of the cities where i doubt i'll travel, but those suckers are expensive to ship. so for now, i just pester friends and family to get them for me, and i also have a growing list of places i want to travel with the slightly hidden agenda of getting a starbucks mug. i say slightly because my husband has pretty much caught on to my scheme. ha! surveying his interest in traveling to too many rather obscure places coupled with my ridiculous hunt for the SF and california mugs may have tipped him off. :]

fun fact: you can find the lake tahoe mug right up the street from my parents' house. i was excited that i didn't actually have to go up to the lake to get it. i've since seen it at starbucks locations in carson city and truckee too.

i mentioned that i got my brother-in-law interested too, which is awesome because he does quite a bit of traveling for work and is kind enough to bring me back mugs whenever possible. he surprised me with these two when we were visiting home recently.

my sister was the first person who i called when i became obsessed. she was able to get these three, so we traded for the ones near me. we discussed making a little road trip down to san diego last time we were in LA just to get a mug, but our plans didn't pan out... next time! [sadly, i wasn't able to find the LA mug either! but i did get the orange county one, below.]

and even though i'm not sure he fully supports my obesssion, james picked up the boston mug when he was there for his cousin's wedding at cape cod recently. :]

next time you visit a new place, or even your neighborhood starbucks, you should see if they have a mug for your city. and if you become obsessed too, let me know! haha. :]
