out & about: free museum day.

this past weekend, we took advantage of good weather and a project-free weekend and headed across the new bay bridge to golden gate park. we made use of our membership to the california academy of science as well as the "museums on us" offer at the de young museum of art.

all in all, it was a great family day. we had my mom along for the trip, and i think she enjoyed getting to see aiden's reaction to the aquarium, which seems to rank as his favorite exhibit. he stayed awake for the entire visit to the academy of science, and then took a nap at the de young. :]
